If you can't handle the slim chance of that for fucking awesome food...

Hey guys. In L.A. looking for apartments (got into a PhD program st USC) and had a few
questions.

1.) Is it reasonable to expect a 30-40minute commute on the 110 from San Pedro to USC? After
two years in Atlanta seriously missing the ocean, I fell in love with Coastal San Pedro and found
some decently priced studios/1bedrooms, but one of my best freinds who is at UCLA says I'm
crazy for even considereing it what with the commute. Of course I still have to factor things like
gas and wear on the car as well.

The caveat is that, being from Miami and living in Atlanta a long commute and bad traffic don't
really faze me. However, under an hour with an average between 20-40 minutes is perferable.

2. Are there any places near USC that are actually nice neighboorhoods, not rundown, and have
offstreet parking?
