The users have been willing to accommodate your changes; believe it or not, many posters liked coming here, for whatever reason, and wanted to continue to do so. Granted, many prolific or popular posters were gone before you hit the scene. Regardless, you alienated your entire remaining forum user base. Perhaps that was your intention, but it seems incongruous with the site's stated purpose and history. Your ultimate error was not articulating what your new vision for the site is. You still haven't.
I'll look forward to seeing what this place looks like come January 1.
