Situation in Wisconsin has turned from infuriating to hilarious.

So we all know that Republican governor Scott Walker's plan is to break down the unions, disallow most state employees from negotiating benefits other than higher salaries, and tie maximum salary increases to Consumer Price Index, right? And that he's put the National Guard on standby to deal with protests. Old news.

Well, today the minority Democrats walked out, denying the legislature the three fifths quorum required for budgetary legislation.

Senate majority leader Scott Fitzgerald threatened to call in the State Patrol to round up the errant Democrats to force them back to work.

So now the Democrats have left the state.
