Black Box was canned for a reason. And I'm sure it wasn't entirely shelf-space related. EA releases "Special Edition" SKUs all the time. It was just hard to justify launching a major-advertised console game with a large development budget for $40. I'm sure you could get away with it on Steam, but EA knows that a $40 title sitting on the console gaming shelf screams "budget title" and we all know the connotations that brings up.

I bet Valve regrets even throwing in HL2 and Ep1. It just gave the always-whinging gaming market something to whine about. Not you in particular, but a lot of these modern faggots need to back in time to when we paid $60 minimum for game cartridge containing a single 2d game.
