Search the Sandra Lee archive Mayberry Pancakes 04/19/07, 10:08 | 1 | I've never seen an episode of this woman's show, but the amount of trash talk has made me curious. The Food Network provides recipes from all her shows on the website, and...well. Now I understand. Some of these things are downright grotesque.
Black Jack Lamb Rack
For Sauce:
1 cup whiskey (recommended: Jack Daniel's)
1 cup steak sauce (recommended: Lea & Perrins)
1/2 cup molasses
For Lamb Racks:
2 racks of lamb
1 tablespoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
Life's A Beach Cake
1 purchased angel food cake
10 large marshmallows
2 containers vanilla frosting
Blue food coloring
1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
Special Equipment:
Pastry bag; large star tip, 3 paper umbrellas, jellied octopus candy, chocolate seashell candy
Herb Salt Crusted Prime Rib
3 1/2 pounds beef rib roast
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon seasoned pepper, salt free
1 (3-pound) box kosher salt
2 packets Italian dressing mix
2 large egg whites
1/2 cup water
1 (14-ounce) can low-sodium beef broth
1 packet onion soup mix
Yes, that's three pounds of salt and two packets of Italian dressing mix. Well, at least the beef broth is low-sodium.
The reviews are what make it:
I have many "Life's a Beach" cakes during my 67 years on this planet and this was absolutely the worst.
Terrible gazpacho. Chicken soup has no place in gazpacho and neither has orange juice.
My kids were excited, took one taste, and the expression that came over their little faces was priceless. Somewhere between "how could you" and "darn"
The color made my son cry.
Even the kids needed vodka to choke this down. A shot of vanilla vodka may be the only way to get anyone to drink this toxic gray mixture.
